Ever since I got my first weighted blanket a few years ago, I’ve evangelized them to anyone who will listen. And I’m not the only one who’s obsessed with their anxiety-reducing and sleep-inducing properties (there’s quite a bit of research on how weighted blankets can reduce the stress hormone cortisol and boost sleep hormones serotonin and melatonin, making it easier to calm down and drift off). While I love to cuddle under one on the couch or fall asleep with its comforting heaviness wrapped around me, sometimes I want the relaxing vibes without being literally pinned down.
